- 5g & 7g – Built for finesse presentations, these sizes shine when bream are sitting tight on structure or flathead are laid up in the shallows. Fish them with a slow lift-and-drop along sand flats, rock walls, or bridge pylons — the subtle flash and vibration will draw strikes when soft plastics get ignored.
- 10g & 14g – Step up when the current is stronger or when you’re targeting bigger predators like tailor, salmon, jewfish, or even school kingfish.

Flathead Special: Cast diagonally across sandbanks on a dropping tide, let it sink just above bottom, then use slow hops. Flathead will smash it as it lifts.
Avoid Snags: Fish blades around open sandy areas or upgrade trebles to doubles to reduce hang-ups on rock or weed.
